For fun list how you feel Watchtower is the Anti-Christ
by ARoarer inon studying the bible in the past and learning watchtower's definitions of false doctrine, i have been able to reason now when i compare these teachings to be anti christian.
i read another post that listed all of their articles that make the "trinity" of jehovah, his word and the organiztion.
after viewing the articles listed it made me feel how against christ they really are, even though they give lip service to him.

JW look at Christians as the enemies and anyone who worships Jesus that is NOT in the way Watch Tower tells you too is enemies, not the true Christians, and won't be saved. Satan's main purpose is to get people AWAY from Jesus anyway possible, to not hear or listen to Jesus teachings, to not believe in the bible, to judge others and hurt others, divide up families, tear families apart, and ect.

The anointed ones and heaven..
by Canadian Sunshine inif i am understanding correctly only 144,000 will go to heaven, to be with jesus and help rule?
these 144,000 are witnesses only.
there is over a million jw world wide, what happens to the rest of the faithful followers.

Who are the anointed? Are they here on earth? How do you become anointed? Who says if your anointed or not?
Lastly, what about Christians from other denominations where will they go? Christians that believe in Jesus, the bible .. are they sent to..hell? -

JW and communion
by Canadian Sunshine ina few years ago i attended the kingdom hall during "easter" as my mother in law asked me to come to a service.
i was hesitant at first, being a christian and a believer in jesus, she told me that jw believe in jesus and to come see for myself.
i finally agreed to go.

How do you know if your the 144,000? The 144,000 are Jews according to scripture. There is over a million JW world wide, therefore how do you know if your anointed? Do you only take the wine and bread in heaven. This is very confusing. My mother in law told me she would explain it to me, but I wanted to be prepared for what she would say.

JW "rules" and ex fellow shipping somebody..
by Canadian Sunshine ini searched up jw rules, and things that can get them into trouble with the congregation.
if i remember correctly there is 100 rules.
i already assume these rules are taught regularly or "preached" and stating why they are against god therefore followers obey, or try to obey.

However, does the congregation still ex fellowship people if they are "caught" celebrating Christmas with family such as Christmas dinner, perhaps a JW brings a gift for grand children to open- but not in a Christmas bag or colors. Also this would go for celebrating a families birthday. Is there exception to certain rules if the JW has no family members that are in the congregation therefore leaving them the ONLY JW member in their family or the JW converting after their already married and children have grown.
secondly, JW engaging with Christians from other churches. Apparently this is "forbidden" or is there a exception to the rule now. I understand JW will try to convert the Christian, but if they are unable to convert them are they still able to be friends with them. Are they allowed to accept a Christian Music CD? I gave a JW member a Christian CD, and they accepted it which I was surprised. They told me they would listen to it and appeared to be cheerful about it.
Thirdly, How is a JW suppose to respond if they have family members or their own children, who have never been apart of the JW organization and are atheist or practicing paganism such as psychics, mediums, terra cards, idol praising of statues, "spirit animals" and referring to "Jahovah" as the "Creator" or knowingly having a child wearing shirts that go against GOD (Jahovah) and wearing sweatshirts or shirts of things that appear to look demonic like (demands)? How is a JW suppose to respond to this. -

A few years ago I attended the kingdom hall during "Easter" as my mother in law asked me to come to a service. I was hesitant at first, being a christian and a believer in Jesus, she told me that JW believe in Jesus and to come see for myself. I finally agreed to go. The first time I went to a JW service. I was quite surprised that JW do not believe or practice communion- the sharing of the bread and wine. The unleavened bread and wine was passed around the entire congregation but nobody was allowed to take it. My mother in law told me it was only the elders. Am I understanding correctly, that only elders are "worthy" of the bread and wine? Who are the elders- the disciples or elders of the kingdom hall? WHERE in scripture does it say only the elders can participate in communion. Perhaps my understanding is very mis informed from my own church up bringing, but I don't feel in my heart and reading bible scriptures that only "certain" people are allowed to participate in this. I feel that would go against all that Jesus came for? He came for everybody, not just the elders of the congregation and if the elders are only allowed to participate why would that be right? Is the elders sinless? This is confusing to me. Can someone please explain how my mother in law is taught so I can better understand.
Thank you. -

What does Two witness mean for child abuse?
by Canadian Sunshine ini am not a jw.

Thank you all for your kind help on understanding. I agree that it isn't just the "two witness rule" but a larger picture happening. There is to much emphasis placed on elders, leaders, and people that are placed in "high power" are truly being and acting as God wants. I am noticing a pattern of followers believing more in "man" than "God" when it comes to JW, Catholics and a few other denominations. A church I attend we don't really have "elders" of the church, and most of us know even the preachers are only human and not GOD which means they are capable of sin, and any type of sin. Looking towards GOD, not people is best. Read your bible. If something the leader says does not agree with you, find scripture on it. Even leaders can make mistakes and big ones.
A few years ago we had a long time pastor that fell into temptation and sin. It had to do with pornography, and he told the congregation about it and that he was stepping down for awhile. Many judged him of course, some even left the church in disgust, and many remained because he was stepping down but admitted his sinful acts. Anyways its a difficult situation. -

Shunning: Reasoning With JW's
by The Fall Guy inperhaps this line of questioning could agitate a jw's thinking.
it can't hurt.. you: is shunning a biblical teaching?.
jw: yes.. you: so it must be god's law?.
-
Canadian Sunshine
Shunning is not a biblical thing. I have never seen it anywhere in the Holy bible- hence why this is NOT common practice in Christian churches or Christian families. People can set boundaries with others if they are living a very unhealthy life style- there is talk about this in the bible but we are STILL TO LOVE them, help them. We are to love our enemies.. this is sooo true and so many reasons for it. JW believe in Jesus as the mediator and we go through him to get to heaven right? WELL, START READING the book of JOHN ( I suggest a holy bible ) as this speaks on who JESUS TRULY IS, and we are to follow him.
Feed the hungry. Clothes the poor. Help the widows. Help the orphans. Not judge others for we will be judged ourselves BY GOD. THESE are the works GOD expects us to do down here on earth! NOT go door to door preaching a bible that is "man made" by people sitting in a watch tower..
YOU see a man naked on the side of the road, clothe him, give him water. THIS is what it says in the bible. -

I am trying to understand this organization to understand my Mother In Law better. I am a christian and don't understand this " two witness rule" for child abuse? Can somebody please explain it to me HOW my mother in law would have it explained to her. This seems absurd.
